THE "WHY"
About
The Szekely Family Foundation is a private ancillary fund founded by Les and Sue Szekely in 2022. The Foundation is guided by the principles of “tikkun olam”, a Hebrew word meaning “repairing the world”. It is associated with the pursuit of social justice and welfare of society as a whole. The world is not a fair place and we aim to change that just one tiny fraction.
APPROACH
We endeavour to find extraordinary people doing extraordinary things around the globe. We back these people and organisations to help make the world just a little bit better for those living in poverty or suffering other forms of hardship.
We focus on small, early-stage organisations where we can add value beyond funding. The organisations we work with have a clear mission, are impact driven and have the potential to scale. Most importantly, we work with passionate people who share our vision for a better world.
